EliteXC Primetime Disscussion: Kimbo vs Thompson

Yeah, I know not everyone here is interested in MMA but if you are tonight should be interesting. For the first time a MMA organization is featured in prime time on a major network. UFC president Dana White has been trying to get this done for years but has been beaten to the punch by EliteXC and CBS.

There is almost no doubt that the 3-0 Kimbo Slice will destroy the 14-8(2-6 in his last 8 matches) James Thompson in the main event so I wont even bring that up. What will probably be more entertaining is the undercard match up between Scott Smith(13-4) and EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler(15-4). These two are both heavy handed power punchers so I wouldn’t expect the bout to end in a submission. Also on the card is Gina Carano a.k.a. “Crush” from the new American Gladiators I don’t know much about her as a fighter but she was voted “Hottest Woman In America” by Big Biz Magazine whoever they are. Here’s the rest of the card:

I know I’m a little early with this post but fuck it I’m excited the WWE, Elite XC, WEC, and RoH have packed the next three days with more MMA and Pro-wrestling events then you can shake a stick at. TNA Impact

Well, I’m starting to think I’m the only one watching Impact. I’m not surprised. I thought it was WWE that put 20 minutes of talking at the beginnings of their shows. Looks like TNA is doing it now, too.

In other news, has anyone noticed that TNA is taking gimmicks from wrestling podcasts, lately? I’ve noticed two that have come directly from Smart Wrestling Fan’s show (smartwrestlingfan.com). First, Super Eric– Discussed on the show months ago, then brought to TNA about six weeks ago. Now, it’s Royal T. It’s pretty blatant how bad that is.

New Podcast Hotline: Orlando Jordan

Former WWE and current Nu-Wrestling Evolution champion Orlando Jordan joined this week’s edition of the PWB Podcast Hotline with Lex and Ian. Jordan discussed his upcoming NWE Title match with a returning Ultimate Warrior, as well as what it’s like wrestling in Italy. Jordan also talked about his wrestling past, including training with Rocky Johnson and working with JBL on WWE Smackdown!

Your WWE Draft

With the new WWE Draft coming up in less than Four Weeks time on RAW many superstars are going to move. I just want to see who would you draft where and why. Here are my current picks.

CM Punk to RAW
Undertaker to RAW
Umaga to Smackdown
Randy Orton to Smackdown
Londrick to ECW
Paul Birchill to ECW

I think the Draft this year is due a couple of shocks. I mean, it’s right after Night Of Champions.

Potentially, there could be some big moves. Umaga to Smackdown has been played up for a while plus the way that the La Familia/Taker thing is going, Taker could leave Smackdown anyway so that’s the reason for that.

I wanted another big shock and also Smackdown is losing a big star so why not have Smackdown take a Big Star in Randy Orton. That would even up the balance of power and MAYBE. Have a Rated RKO reunion or a Edge/Orton fued.

Londrick to ECW would IMO be a good move because they went from a Big Tag Team on Smackdown to JUST ANOTHER TAG TEAM on RAW. So why not have them move ECW and fued with Morrison and Miz for the Tag Title. Paul Birchill to ECW could be a good move because he could be pushed into the Brand’s Main Event picture against Kane. It’s a big fued for Birchill and will put him on the map.

CM Punk to RAW is a semi-guarrenteed thing but Smackdown is also an Option for 1 Reason. EDGE. Punk against Edge for the World Title could be a big money fued. Punk is popular with the crowd and if Taker goes to RAW, Edge is the number 1 guy to get the title because I see Batista fueding with Umaga. Also, there’s a pottential big fued with Randy Orton after that. Maybe Punk/Orton/Edge at Summerslam for the World Title.

Ultimate Warrior TV Is The Greatest Thing I’ve Ever Seen

I know I’m known as sideshowRaheem the posting machine but I have to admit I’ve been caught sleeping on this one, I should have already known what I just found out. Three weeks ago The Ultimate Warrior started his own YouTube channel and has been posting video’s that can only be described as “bat shit insane” on a regular basis.

I sure hope you’ve all got some time on your hands because your gonna wanna watch every single one of these more then once. In this first video Warrior(who is wearing his own Ultimate Warrior mask for some unknown reason) gives his thoughts on those pictures of Hogan rubbing lotion on his daughters ass. He even makes a valid point but then again how valid can your point be when your wearing a Halloween mask while playing with a doll action figure.

Monday Night Raw Discussion: New GM?

What better way to end your Memorial Day Weekend with a good beer and episode of TNA Imp…I mean Monday Night Raw. By the way, Impact is officially horrible outside of the AJ Styles beatdown.

Anyways, back to Raw. We know for sure that there will be one match tonight: Jeff Hardy and John Cena v. Umaga and JBL. Outside of that, there’s nothing else really announced, although the Raw preview does  hint that someone will be taking William Regal’s place.

Here’s to hoping for Shane-o-Mac.

It has been brought to my attention that something was written on here about the Ultimate Warrior. To make things clear there are many people who have assess to my, myspace account to keep it updated. Some of those people I do not even speak to anymore. I don’t know the Ultimate Warrior, I ave never met him, so really have nothing bad to say about the guy. I know he made a lot of fans happy when he was champion and was a unique character. Those who do know him have told me stories but that’s what they re just stories. I heard he was making a return in spain and if that’s tu I wonder if he will still have the nastalgia feel like a Hulk Hogan does when he appears.
