TNA Impact Discussion: Joe & Nash v. Team 3D

Aside from Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash taking on Team 3D tonight, TNA is hinting that we’ll find out why Sting attacked AJ Styles and what the silver guitar at the end of Hard Justice meant (gee, I wonder).

In addition, Kurt Angle has a special challenge for AJ Styles.

Discuss Impact! here.

VOTD: The Legacy of Hardys, The Dudleyz, and E&C

TNA Impact Thursday

TNA has announced the lineup for Impact this week with only a few days to do until Hard Justice

8 Man Tables Match

Christian Cage, Rhino & LAX Vs. Beer Money Inc & Team 3D

10 Man Weapons Gauntlet Match

Featuring Samoa Joe, Booker T, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Matt Morgan and more

Awesome Kong Vs. Salinas

Jacqueline Vs. Roxxi

Sonjay Dutt Vs. Curry Man

Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed Vs. The Murder City Machine Guns (I still refuse to call them the PG Version)

Also, TNA are building up to see if Sting will show up

I am looking forward to see how they build up these matches for Hard Justice. They are building up the Main Event and the Last Man Standing Match by having this Gauntlet. Oh course this is going to be a normal TNA gauntlet with 10 men in the ring and last two have a one on one match. But why is it Hardcore, do they come out with weapons or will there be weapons out in the ring already.

Also, TNA is now obsessed with Tables Matches. They have had two in the past three weeks. How many more can they do? Anyway, I like that they are attempting to build up the two tag team matches.

REMEMBER HARD JUSTICE IS ON SUNDAY

TNA iMPACT! Discussion: #1 tag team contenders match

I probably wont be watching, but I will DVR it

Why should Beer Money be next in line for a title shot if they just lost their shot at the last PPV? Then again, who else is there? So much for all the “established” tag team stuff

VOTD: Christian’s last WWE & 1st TNA appearances

Why he left the WWE: Last interview

TNA Debut

For the record, I think that He and Edge are the best wrestlers, OVERALL in wrestling since HBK went back to the crappy face that he is

If HBK was heel then he would be number 1

Angle is too goofy, Styles still needs mic work, Undertaker is good too, but Cage is just great

I am not including indy wrestlers because I dont watch indy stuff

Overall I think HBK, Styles, Angle, Taker, Noble, Edge, Christian and Shelton are the best

Just my opinion

TNA Impact

Well, I’m starting to think I’m the only one watching Impact. I’m not surprised. I thought it was WWE that put 20 minutes of talking at the beginnings of their shows. Looks like TNA is doing it now, too.

In other news, has anyone noticed that TNA is taking gimmicks from wrestling podcasts, lately? I’ve noticed two that have come directly from Smart Wrestling Fan’s show (smartwrestlingfan.com). First, Super Eric– Discussed on the show months ago, then brought to TNA about six weeks ago. Now, it’s Royal T. It’s pretty blatant how bad that is.

What’s Russo’s Obsession With Matches in Reverse?

“QUEEN OF THE CAGE” KNOCKOUT WOMEN’S MATCH SIGNED FOR THE LOCKDOWN PAY-PER-VIEW
By Bill Banks

After an all-out brawl between several Knockouts on Thursday’s “iMPACT!”, TNA Management Director Jim Cornette has announced that a “Queen Of The Cage” match has been signed for the April 13 “Lockdown” Pay-Per-View event.

According to Cornette, eight TNA Knockouts will start the bout battling on the outside of the cage, trying to get inside the steel structure. The first two Knockouts that are successful will then have a one-on-one match.

The “Queen Of The Cage” match will feature Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Salinas vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Traci Brooks vs. Christy Hemme vs. Ms. Jacqueline vs. Roxxi Laveaux

What is Russo’s obsession with doing matches in reverse: Reverse Battle Royals, Reverse Ladder Matches, now a Reverse Cage Match?

I seemingly have this reputation of a TNA hater which I DENY! It’s just things like this that make me angry at TNA because they have all these talented wrestlers and they have to handicap them with stupid gimmick matches.

Kanadian’s Yea/Boos: iMPACT! 03/06/08

It’s the third installment of Kanadian’s Yea/Boos, the TV and (hopefully one day) PPV review of what made me shudder with terror, as well as what made me shriek with orgasmic pleasure (sigh). Off to an if-y start, let’s get right into TNA iMPACT!:

Yea – Angle Alliance Promo was a fine formulaic show opener.

Boo – Booker and Corny in ring, then Rhoode comes out; I don’t know, it might just be me, but since his debut, Booker has really bored me to death. I don’t care about this feud, and I have a bad feeling it will end up with Sharmell slapping Rhoode in the face and I’ll have to sit through the face team of Book and Sharmell, which I hate.

Boo – 17 minutes in we finally get some wrestling. Jacknife powerfall, was that a botch? Chokeslam for the win, AJ looks like shit after a loss to Old-Man Nash.

Boo – Black Reign sucks. “I will eat your face off”; new Black Reign t-shirt? I miss Goldust.

Yea – Fine battle royal. It made the Rellik look like kind of shitty, but I hate the monster division anyway.

Boo – Why should I care about the stipulation? First of all, it’s a stupid gimmick that is dumb and stupid; and secondly, 3D may not even be allowed to compete unless they lose a bunch of weight in less than 3 days.

Yea – Tomko vs Joe was pretty good. Tenay, keep in mind he’s calling a first blood match, “I think Joe gave Tomko that pile driver on that steel ramp to try to make him bleed, try and bust him open!” Thank you for clarifying that, Mike. Short & sweet, and it didn’t burry Joe.

Boo – Who cares about Elevation X? Who cares about Rhino? Who cares about this program?

Boo – The Mitchell promo wasn’t that bad, he made the best of what he had, but it still sucked purely because of the content.

Boo – Looks like Judas Mesias took advantage of Wal-Mart’s “Leap Year Weekend Halloween Mask Sale”; that was spooky! Garbage match, gore, Rhino over, Storm beat down, quickly cut to the back.

Yea – Awesome Kong vs Salinas Martinez was a bit of a disappointment, but it’s still 100 times better than the shit WWE is doing with their models, does anybody care about Maria now that she’s just a dumb stupid person that nobody cares about?

Yea – Cage vs Angle was excellent, I really enjoyed it. The show could have gone either way depending on the booking of this match, and they made the right decision in letting two guys that have great chemistry together, and are two of the best in the business today go out there and give the fans a match without interference or stupid gimmicks, just a good old school cage match to finish the feud. It made me want to buy Destination X. Stellar match, thank you TNA.

To conclude, I enjoyed the wrestling but the stories suck-ass. What you guys think of it?

Love, Kanadian

Another Reason to Bash TNA

Here’s another reason to hate TNA Impact. I’m not going to spoil the entire episode, but the February 7 edition of TNA Impact will basically feature a Rat on a Pole Match. Kaz and Black Reign will face off in a match where they have 4 poles, 3 of which had rat trps and the last contained Black Riegn’s rat.

I know this is Vince Russo’s doing and the only way TNA Wrestling will get more success will be to fire Vince Russo and get rid of everyone that allows him to book this way. Chris Harris gets a major push and then feuds with Black Reign. Kaz gets a major feud with Christian, pins him clean, and it means nothing because he’s feuding with Dustin Rhodes.

Personally, I can’t wait to see a Rat on a Pole match just to see how bad it is.

TNA’s big night

Wow. I’m disappointed in you, PWBites. No thread for TNA Impact tonight? Shame, shame.

Not only was Impact pretty damned good tonight, International Impact is on immediately afterward. If you’re watching right now, you can see Kurt Angle take on Nagana, one of New Japan’s biggest stars! Am I the only one watching this awesomeness?

ECW on Sci-Fi

ECW

What’s the point of this show? I admit, Impact is better than this show. At least TNA is funny, ECW is just bad. This show has about a 15 man roster. Perhaps the more interesting group to examine would be the list of those who WWE moved exclusively to one of their flagship broadcasts. The loss of Lashley, Umaga, McMahon (not so much the Majors) coupled with the fact that they lost Van Dam as well has drastically reduced the show’s star power. The only additions of consequence since then have been guys like John Morrison and Big Daddy V who were portrayed as meaningless before they left Raw. They also added Kane for a time, but it was for the hideous feud with V. Consequently, it should not really surprise anyone that the ratings for the program have declined noticeably between May and the present time.

Pretty soon, Impact will be beating ECW in the ratings. Why? Because ECW is the OVW of Smackdown

*Author’s note: Some of you will get mad at me saying I should stop complaining, but this show should be better than this*
