Fabulous Moolah Passes Away

From WWE.com –

WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer The Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.

In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.

WWE.com will have more on Fabulous Moolah as it becomes available.

I heard that she was in the hospital all week and died from complications of a surgery. RIP Moolah. Let’s share favorite memories here.

Mine has to do with watching the “Lipstick and Dynamite” documentary about what women’s wrestling once was. It was nice to see Moolah and Mae not acting like dogs. Woof.

Check out my blog

Hey guys…I went to ROH’s Motor City Madness last night. I have a recap of my experience on my blog, and will be posting pics of it later, when they are uploaded. It’s not so much a recap of the show as it is my overall viewing and opinion of the experience. Hope you get a chance to check it out.

Thanks,

Kitty

Spelling and Grammar check, please

Hey everyone,

I think it’d be in everybody’s best interest if, before you posted on the blog, you typed your entries in Microsoft Word. It’s getting pretty frustrating trying to read these entries, that I am sure are full of interesting content. Post like you’re writing for school…you do go to school, don’t you?

Much love,

Rosa

Raw tonight

Hey everyone,

I added a forum to my blog and started a Raw thread if you feel like discussing it tonight. If you don’t want to post on a forum, I was thinking that maybe for a Raw chat we could do an AIM chat. If enough people are interested, then I’ll start it at 9 pm when Raw starts. So let me know!

UPDATE! I went ahead and started a chat on AIM. It’s called “Raw is Kitty Limits”

Sorry, I’m vain. But hope to see some of you there anyways.

Very bored,
Rosa

Double Moonsault

That’s Ricochet…he wrestles for IWA and CHIKARA, and a bunch of other places. I met his friend tonight, who is my friend’s cousin. That’s really crazy.

I have more vids on my blog, if you wanna look. Or, you can search youtube for “Ricochet.”

SERIOUSLY crazy.

Talk about sh*t hitting the fan…

The World Heavyweight Title is cursed.

Edge looks like he will be out now, sadly. Who will take his place? Gah.

Meow.

Dave Lagana is a real wrestling fan

Matt Sydal is rapidly becoming the hottest free agent on the independent scene. Sydal had in-ring tryouts with WWE during the week of the Benoit tragedy and was going to work for TNA but had has his appearances cancelled because of conflicts with his touring schedule with Dragon’s Gate in Japan. ECW head writer Dave Lagana is pushing for Sydal to be signed and put in ECW.

I got that from rajah.com who got it from somewhere else, but nonetheless…that would be a nice addition, eh?

Happy Birthday Kevin Nash!

Kevin Nash turned 48 today, this making him as old as my mom. I’d still do him. Let’s discuss our favorite Kevin Nash moments here! Mine certainly include many of him as Big Daddy Cool Diesel, FROM DETROIT, and his bringing an artistic flair (not Ric) to the writing of World Championship Wrestling. Ah, yes, such a creative mind this Kevin Nash was. Can’t forget his recent appearance on Hannity and Drones. Big sexy.

But seriously folks, Nash IS one of my all time favs, and I swear there’s something besides him being from my home area, and being incredible sexy. Uh. Um. THE LONGEST YARD!!

A Good Raw

Hey…so, didn’t you guys like Raw? I know I did. I’m wondering what y’all thought? Perhaps I’m giving them too much a chance because I’m feeling bad for their negative PR, but I certainly enjoyed the episode.

P.S. Read my blog.

Read this one too! B/c it’s almost as good.

Meow.

Smackdown was on last night

Did anyone watch it? It had some pretty sweet matches, including the Divas match of the year. Mickie James vs. Victoria. Freakin’ awesome.

A Love Letter to Steroids

Dear Steroids,

I feel bad for you. So many people pick on you when they don’t even realize that mood-altering legally prescribed medications cause far more behavioral problems than you, Steroids, can even imagine. I know, it’s an unfair media biased world we live in, where all these “journalists” probably indulge in anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds, as well as work for a network sponsored by them. Sorry you have to take the negative brunt of it all while Xanax and Zoloft are commended for their faux happy inducing attributes. At least they don’t have sex drives.

Love always,

Rosa

Who Would Have Thought We’d Miss the Simple Days of the McMahon-death Angle?

Hey guys,

I know that I have yet to even begin to put into words my thoughts and feelings on all that has been going on, but it looks as if you all have. This blog has gotten to ridiculous proportions that we thought could not go matched with the McMahon-death angle, which seriously seems so far away. Odd to think that it was…three days ago. My gut just wrenched forward.

Anyways, I set up another blog, and if you would like posting access, email me at detroitkittylimits@gmail.com

http://chrisbenoitincident.blogspot.com/

That’s the blog I set up. I figure since we all have a lot to say we could just direct it towards there, and that way, the some of us that want to engage in this, “healing process” can go on with their daily wrestling routines. I hope you all would at least consider this notion and agree with me that PWB is Pro Wrestling Blog, not Pro Wrestling Benoit.

Thanks everyone.

Cheap Plugs

Hi everyone. PWB is #1 but here are some other wannabe blogs that would be cool if you could check out.

My Vengeance preview at Boo Santa. Oh, yeah, the kid that runs it has some pretty good posts there that you might want to check out regularly.

This girl I know started her own wrestling blog that you’ll all enjoy 🙂

Thanks everyone. Have a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Vince McMahon to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: Rosa Undermines Lex’s Authority

Everybody’s favorite source of reliable pro wrestling news information, PWInsider, is, FOR LACK OF A BETTER TERM, “reporting” that the late Vince McMahon is receiving the honor of a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

It has been announced that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will be among the names honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008. There will be a special ceremony and a permanent star on the Walk of Fame in honor of McMahon. The star will be placed under the Television category for his contributions to the broadcast television industry. The Walk of Fame runs three and a half miles down the sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. To be honored, the honoree has to agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years of their selection and must pay a fee of $25,000.

I know that everyone wants to make their snide, “Holier than thou” comments about how the WWE and Vince suck and want to make a joke about the lameness of the dead Vince angle…but how about we look at it like this: It’s a HUGE honor for the world of professional wrestling. I mean, doesn’t it bother you that you’re looked at as the lowest end of the cultural landscape, and that probably your own peers poke fun at your wrasslin’ fandom? Not since the attitude era has wrestling been honored in a good way, so whether you’re a WWE “mark” or a ROHBot or Jeff Jarrett’s cousin, I think that Vince’s honor is a nice bout of optimism in this dark, dark world.

Suck it, Lex.

ECW Can Be More Than a Recap Show

Yes, folks. There is a WWE show on Tuesday nights. It’s true. It’s also not exactly a “here’s what you missed from Raw” show. Not entirely.

ECW this past Tuesday night was great if you’re, you know, into the whole “wrestling” thing. I have felt that as far as professional wrestling goes, ECW has the potential to be the best show, if the writers were given more time and less Lashley. Now, more than a hour would be too much, but TNA should take note on what it is like to produce an hour long wrestling show.

The best part of it now is the title scene. Mostly because it EXISTS for real now. It’s funny, how it can go from the McMahon-Lashley craziness to an actually good feud. SERIOUSLY SO MUCH GOODNESS FROM ECW!

Burke vs Benoit was a good match…really enjoyable, especially if you’re like me and enjoy being impressed by up and comers– it gives me a nice bout of optimism.

Nunzio and Nitro had an enjoyable match as well, and Nitro being on ECW might imply that his talents won’t go SO much to waste.

Okay, so the Boogeyman was kind of pointless. At least it was entertaining seeing him screw up a little bit??? And the Miz/Extreme Expose love triangle that might be happening at least puts everything we don’t care about together into one segment. Hopefully he’ll feud with The Boogeyman so we’ll have an excellent opportunity for future bathroom breaks. ALSO, Layla is gorgeous so I don’t mind just watching and listening to her talk.

Kevin Thorn looks like he’s well on his way towards actually doing something. They’re pushing him as being on a win-streak since leaving the New Breed so maybe he’ll feud with someone like Cor Von or Burke if they don’t feud with each other sometime soon…

Oh, yeah, Cor Von got to speak and it was nice. Then he had a nice match vs Punk that kept me on the edge of my seat.

For the first time since uh, maybe last year’s Vengeance, I can say that an ECW match is worth my $40 …
