For those of you who haven’t seen it, there’s an interview up with Matt Hughes over at the podcast site. Hughes is one of the greatest MMA welterweights of all time, and some of his comments from the interview have generated some good buzz, so go check it out!
Also, see the YouTube clip above where he talks about UFC 87.
Now the OWNAGE wasnt as bad as that picture, but Lesnar took his time and picked apart Heath Herring.
The desperado theme song for Herring didnt put fear in the eyes of Lesnar for he had his hometown crowd backing him up. Herring said that he wanted Lesnar to trade punches with him, but after the first 2 minutes into round, 1, he thought differently. Lesnar’s straight right in the 1st round took Herring down. While Herring didnt get “rocked” he was punched silly and Lesnar took it from there. With a little showboating at 0:07 seconds left in the final round Lesnar sent his hometown crowd back home with a smile on there face. It went to the score cards, but the decision was obvious. That first punch made Herring bleed at the mouth by the way.
Seriously, this guy got Owned and was completely overpowered. It wasnt close at all.
Episode 24 of the PWBite Rant is up on time this week. Since Jade is on the run from Jenny McCarthy’s people it’s only Arron, El Nagual and myself. This week we talk about Ric Flair’s departure from WWE, the likelihood of Mick Foley resigning his contract, WWE’s injury list, Kaz’s new gimmick, and we talk about the now infamous Mike Levy incident(if you haven’t seen it yet check the video here). Also we go over the cards for UFC 87 and TNA’s Hard Justice PPV.
P.S.
Seeing as next weeks PWBite Rant will be episode number 25 which I consider a milestone I want to attempt to record it LIVE!!! via uStream or Stikam I haven’t decided which one yet. What this means is all of you will be able to hear and chat with us as we record Episode 25. I don’t have all the details worked out yet but the tentative plan is to do this next Wednesday, August 13 starting at around 8pm EST if this changes I’ll let you know. Also don’t forget my Twitter, Facebook and our email address:
The News – Mixed Martial Arts | Written by Marshall Bowen |
Things may have just gotten considerably worse for Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, following his his insane hit-and-run last month. TMZ is reporting today that one of the people hit by Jackson recently suffered a miscarriage.38-year-old, Holli Griggs, who was 16-weeks pregnant at the time when Rampage allegedly sideswiped her Escalade, recently had the miscarriage. Her fiance has said that she was perfectly healthy before the incident occurred, but afterwards lost alot of fluid from her womb and subsequently lost her baby.
The couple have retained an attorney, however have yet to take action against Jackson.
The Rant has finally reached 21, old enough to drink but still not old enough to rent a car. This week Jade is on injured reserved so I am joined by Jeyrod, Arron, and for the first time long time PWBite El Nagual. We take a look at last Sunday’s Victory Road PPV, discuss the latest news on the release of Trevor Murdoch & Ashley Massaro, then we go over the cast of Hulk Hogan’s Wrestling reality show, also we laugh at Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s unfortunate choice of vehicle and as usual we go off topic allot. Sorry no background music this week, it just takes to long to add that stuff in and I’m sort on time this week(I’m not sure how much people liked the soundtrack anyway).
P.S.
In an attempt to live my entire life online not only can you see what I’m up to on my Official Facebook Page you can also follow my every move on my Official Twitter Page. If you don’t know what Twitter is look it up I’m to exhausted to explain it right now. And of course don’t forget you can also contact Jade and I at:
We are back again for episode 20 of The PWBite Rant. This week Jade, Jeyrod and myself discuss Gregory Helms possible return, the week of wrestling that was TNA & WWE promo fest 2008, WWE’s latest FCW call ups,TNA & WWE’s recent talent releases, UFC 86, and we take a look at the card for this Sunday’s TNA Victory Road PPV(yes, TNA has a PPV scheduled for this Sunday believe it or not). And there’s lots of TNA bashing what can I say it’s a slow news week we had to talk about something.
P.S.
Next week is wide open for any two longtime PWBites who want to be part of the podcast especially you site regulars who haven’t yet joined us(Kanadian and JSNWWF I’m looking in your direction) just send us and email at:
