Now the OWNAGE wasnt as bad as that picture, but Lesnar took his time and picked apart Heath Herring.
The desperado theme song for Herring didnt put fear in the eyes of Lesnar for he had his hometown crowd backing him up. Herring said that he wanted Lesnar to trade punches with him, but after the first 2 minutes into round, 1, he thought differently. Lesnar’s straight right in the 1st round took Herring down. While Herring didnt get “rocked” he was punched silly and Lesnar took it from there. With a little showboating at 0:07 seconds left in the final round Lesnar sent his hometown crowd back home with a smile on there face. It went to the score cards, but the decision was obvious. That first punch made Herring bleed at the mouth by the way.
Seriously, this guy got Owned and was completely overpowered. It wasnt close at all.

Things may have just gotten considerably worse for Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, following his his insane hit-and-run last month. TMZ is reporting today that one of the people hit by Jackson recently suffered a miscarriage.38-year-old, Holli Griggs, who was 16-weeks pregnant at the time when Rampage allegedly sideswiped her Escalade, recently had the miscarriage. Her fiance has said that she was perfectly healthy before the incident occurred, but afterwards lost alot of fluid from her womb and subsequently lost her baby.
The couple have retained an attorney, however have yet to take action against Jackson.
Yeah, I know not everyone here is interested in MMA but if you are tonight should be interesting. For the first time a MMA organization is featured in prime time on a major network. UFC president Dana White has been trying to get this done for years but has been beaten to the punch by EliteXC and CBS.
There is almost no doubt that the 3-0 Kimbo Slice will destroy the 14-8(2-6 in his last 8 matches) James Thompson in the main event so I wont even bring that up. What will probably be more entertaining is the undercard match up between Scott Smith(13-4) and EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler(15-4). These two are both heavy handed power punchers so I wouldn’t expect the bout to end in a submission. Also on the card is Gina Carano a.k.a. “Crush” from the new American Gladiators I don’t know much about her as a fighter but she was voted “Hottest Woman In America” by Big Biz Magazine whoever they are. Here’s the rest of the card:
On this second extended edition of the rant I discuss what options Tito Ortiz has outside of the UFC, Elite XC’s first CBS Fight Night Special, my turn around on WWE One Night Stand and I play 2 new Nick Hogan prison phone calls.
This weeks rant is accompanied by the song “Eye of the Tiger” by Wale his current mixtape 100 Miles and Running is available for free right now via his Official MySpace Page and his new mixtape The Mixtape About Nothing will be available for free this Friday May 30th.
In case your even thinking about wasting your money on next weeks WWE One Night Stand PPV remember there’s a pretty good card for tonights UFC 84 Ill Will.
Main Card Bouts:
BJ Penn(c) vs. Sean Sherk
Wanderlei Silva vs. Keith Jardine
Goran Reljic vs. Wilson Gouveia
Tito Ortiz vs. Lyoto Machida
Thiago Silva vs. Antonio Mendes
Preliminary Bouts:
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura
Yoshiyuki Yoshida vs. Jon Koppenhaver
Rousimar Palhares vs. Ivan Salaverry
Shane Carwin vs. Christian Wellisch
Dong-hyun Kim vs. Jason Tan
Terry Etim vs. Rich Clementi
Of course this is will be Tito Ortiz’s last match for the UFC and the last thing Dana White wants it him going out with a win over the undefeated Lyoto Machida. In case you didn’t see it check out what Tito at Fridays weigh-in:
In a candid interview, Lashley discusses his time in the WWE, working with Vince McMahon and his future in the wrestling business. Lashley also talks about his upcoming move to the world of MMA.
Although the reports were that TNA wasn’t trying to play up a MMA angle for the Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle match at Lockdown you’ll see from these clips that they clearly were. I’ll save my opinion for my rant on this weeks podcast but here it is Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle(c) from last night’s Lockdown PPV. Also, TNA is usually pretty cool about these YouTube video’s but I can see why they would pull this down so watch it while you can.

I’m not surprised because of the growing popularity of MMA it was only a matter of time before this happened but what is surprising is who’s involved. While the MMA fans were waiting for the UFC to ink a deal with NBC, ESPN or HBO ProElite was finalizing a deal with CBS. The a deal was officially announced today by CBS and ProElite, who produces MMA events, all the detail we have right now is CBS will broadcast two-hour live specials four times a year on Saturday nights. If your not familiar with ProElite they are partly owned by Showtime(which is a CBS Corporation subsidiary) and they promote live MMA events for a few different organizations the most noteworthy of which is EliteXC.
Of course this isn’t the first time MMA has been on a broadcast network the International Fight League(IFL) did have a deal with MyNewtworkTv but their is a major difference between MNTV which is the lowest rated network and CBS which is the highest rated network. I have a feeling UFC president Dana White is somewhere very pissed off right now he’s been trying to get a major TV deal for the UFC for over a year. The silver lining on this cloud for the UFC is it might force the hand of whoever the UFC is currently negotiating with. But seriously, who would have thought that Kimbo Slice would be seen fighting on a major TV network before Chuck Liddell.
