Relieved, Rejuvenated, Saved.

SO THEN,ARE YOU READY?

After weeks and even months of anticipation Chris Jericho will make his return tonight but you already knew that. While we do look forward to this one must bear in mind that the Y2J of today is older and wiser. He’s also a bestselling author and someone who’s proved to be someone with a life outside wrestling. After his return the coming months will however be the real test.I trust Jericho as always will do a good job but the world Chris Jericho left behind 2 years ago is exactly there…2 years ago.

The big stars like Austin and the Rock are long gone.Big show,Kurt Angle,Eddie Guerrero,Christian,Chris Benoit and Booker T are no longer with the wwe. That being said the question to ask is quite clearly,is Y2J coming back to put the younger guys over and make them more credible or will he start his climb to the top one more time? These are questions for another day but for tonight RAW IS JERICHO.

2 Damn Good Videos

Here is the debut of Booker T at Genesis from 3 days ago.You should watch it quickly because TNA is on the hunt to delete it.I had a lot of difficulty finding it and it’s especially for those who didn’t watch Genesis. This was like I said ‘The Electricity moment’.I wonder if Goldust/Black reign/Dustin Rhodes will get together with him and cut weird promos. That would be awesome.Shop of horrors+”demonic creature”+rat in a bag+can you dig it sucka=LMAO.

This is another video but it features Y2J in one of his best promos eeeever. This was the one when he called Stephanie Mcmahon “the queen of the planet of the filthy, dirty, disgusting, brutual, bottom feeding, trash bag h*’s”.

A Bunch Of Random New Stories

Here are a couple of news stories that didn’t really warrant there own individual post:

Nick Hogan Arrested For August Crash:
Police have arrested Nick Hogan on charges of felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. He turned himself in to Clearwater Police this morning and is currently being booked in to the Pinellas County Jail. The son of the legendary wrestler will face criminal charges for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, a breath-alcohol level of higher than .02 and having an illegal window tint. Also police have ticketed but not charged the driver of the silver Viper Nick was racing turns out the driver of that second car was not Hulk Hogan as some of us suspected.

Hollywood Writers Strike Could Be Good For The WWE:
In case you’ve been under a rock or don’t live in the states the WGA (Writers Guild of American) went on strike this past Monday witch means that every American TV show that isn’t news or reality has gone dark. NBC executives have said that if the strike is prolonged to the point where they run out of there original non reality programing they would turn to the WWE to fill some of there empty prime time slots. They would be able to do this because the WWE writers are not apart of the WGA. The last writers strike in 1988 lasted 5 1/2 months so this is defiantly a possibility in the near future.

More Clues to Y2J’s Return Date:
WWE is plaining on releasing a Save_Us t-shirt according to WWEShop.com it will go on sale November 19 the same day as the rumored Y2J return.

Survivor Series Card Update:
There have been two updates to the Survivor Series card first an ECW title match has been added it will be CM Punk(c) vs John Morrison vs The Miz………um ok. The second is that a bit of a spoiler so if you don’t wanna know stop reading this right now. A stipulation has been added to the HBK/Orton WWE Title match HBK will not be allowed to use the super kick, for once some decent booking out of Raw.

Opie and Anthony Interview Y2J And It Gets Very Uncomfortable

You may have heard around the IWC that last Friday Y2J did an interview with XM Radio’s Opie & Anthony and it got a little awkward when on air personality/comedian Jim Notorn made a joke about Christopher Reeves. For those who don’t know Y2J’s mom is a quadriplegic so needless to say it got a little uncomfortable between the two, check out the video.

Part 1

Part 2

If you’ve never heard Opie & Anthony before it’s extremely edgy show that pokes fun at everything and to be fair Jim Norton did not know about Jericho’s mother. The situation did get defused when a female fan of the show got naked in the studio, unfortunately I have no video of that. Moving forward Opie & Anthony did confront Y2J about those infamous .222 promo’s witch was pretty funny, here’s the video of that.

On a side note the big black guy in the studio is comedian Patrice Oneal who was a WWE writer for a short period of time, during the interview he spoke about how the writers would fly on private jets with Vince, Stephine and a select group of wrestlers and how the guys who travailed on the jet HHH, Undertaker,Y2J, HBK, and Kurt Angle just to name a few had the most pull in the company. He also talked about how he was fired by Stephine because executive producer of WWE programing Kevin Dunn hated him, I don’t have video of any of this I just thought it was interesting.

A Day That Will Live In Infamy

I JUST MET CHRIS JERICHO BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok maybe I’m just a little too excited. I attended a Y2J book signing and after standing in line for about 2 hours I got to met and talk to one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, whats that you say pics or it didn’t happen. As you can see I got him to hold up the PWB sign, the reason I have that crazy look on my face is because I only had a limited amount of time to talk to him so I couldn’t shut my mouth for 2 seconds while the guy took the picture. Anyway I didn’t ask him when he was coming back because the guy before me and probably the 200 guys before him asked that. So I just quickly told him about PWB and asked him if there would be a sequel to the book because he ended it with the night he debuted in the WWE. He told me in my exclusive 5 second interview that he is currently in talks to write a second book about his time in the WWE. One last note, there was a camera crew there I didn’t see any WWE logo’s on their equipment but they did get some footage of the entire line, witch seems like something that would air in a WWE promo for his book after his return.

P.S.
I’m issuing an open challenge to all the PWB contributers, get a picture with the biggest name in wrestling you can holding up a PWB sign. There’s no grand prize, aside from bragging rights, but try the best you can anyway. Although I doubt you can get someone bigger than the first undisputed champion.

More Y2J Save_US .222 Stuff

How did we go a whole week without any Save_US .222 news, here are a couple of quick updates. First Chris Jericho has added two more dates to his book tour, how is that important you ask. Well, the dates are October 29th in Philadelphia, the same city that hosts RAW that night, the second is October 30th in Long Island, the same location as that nights Smackdown/ECW taping. But despite all this evidence that Y2J is returning soon during his interview on the Monday Night Mayhem show this past Monday Jericho claimed to have not seen any of the “Save Us 222” promos that have been running on WWE TV for the past few weeks, so he is “not sure what they are.” He just heard about them, but does describe them as very “cryptic.” Jericho went on to say that he is “not smart enough to read clues…he needs to be banged over the head with clues.” He does love, however, how people have instantaneously associated him with these promos — continuing to get/keep his name out. You gotta love how good Y2J is at playing this game he spent years trying to convince us that he wasn’t the lead singer from Fozzy and now he’s never seen these “cryptic” Save_Us .222 ads.(Source)

Batista’s Book Might Be Good

The one thing that unites us all here at The New PWB is are hatred for Batista and just like every person who’s ever wrestled anywhere “The Animal” has written a book entitled Batista Unleashed. As much as I want to dismiss it as just a peace of trash money grab for the WWE I just read the opening blurb from the book witch was released by the WWE today and it actually sounds like a decent read check it out.

People around the world know Dave Batista as World Wrestling Entertainment’s “the Animal,” the rope-shaking, spine-busting World Heavyweight Champion, one of the most popular Superstars in recent years. The crowd turned Batista from heel to babyface after they were electrified by his awesome physique and physical wrestling style.Few fans, however, know that Batista didn’t join the profession until he was thirty years old — an age at which many wrestlers are thinking about hanging up their boots. Nor do most fans know the tremendous toll the climb to the top has taken on Batista’s personal life. While successfully staying away from hard drugs and — usually — liquor, he found sex too tempting to resist.

“Women were my drug of choice,” the Animal confesses. That addiction cost him his marriage, destroying a relationship that had helped him climb from poverty to the pinnacle of sports entertainment in less than two years.

Now, in Batista Unleashed, the WWE Superstar comes clean about the choices he made and the devastating effects they had on his family. He talks about the injury that stripped him of his title — an injury he blames on Mark Henry’s carelessness. While being sidelined cost Batista untold hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost income, it also set the stage for a tremendous comeback that cemented the Animal’s reputation as a true champion.

Batista talks about growing up in the worst part of Washington, D.C., where three murders occurred in his front yard before he was nine. He speaks lovingly about his mother — a lesbian — and how hard she worked to keep the family not just together but alive. He talks candidly about his own criminal past: a conviction on a drug charge and another, since overturned, on assault. He speaks of his days as a bouncer and a lifeguard, and tells how bodybuilding may have saved his life.

Once he made it to the WWE, Batista realized he wasn’t really ready for the big time. His career seemed headed for a fall until Fit Finlay took him under his wing. But his real education came when he joined Evolution and rode with Triple H and Ric Flair, two of sports entertainment’s all-time greats. Batista talks about what they taught him, and details some of their wild times on the road.

But the champ also reveals a kinder, gentler side. While his soft-spoken manner in the locker room has sometimes been misinterpreted as arrogance, in truth Batista’s always been somewhat shy and quiet. Emotional by nature, he reveals for the first time that the tears fans saw at WrestleMania 21, when he won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time, were very real. And he speaks movingly about his problems with his ex-wives and teenage daughters, and how it felt to become a grandfather.

While his straight-shooting mouth has occasionally gotten him into trouble — most notably in a backstage confrontation with Undertaker after some remarks about SmackDown! — Batista is his own harshest critic. He explains his early limitations as a wrestler and the work he has done to overcome them. Interspersing his memoir with accounts from life on the road, Batista lightens the narrative with a surprising sense of humor. An Animal in the ring, he reveals himself as an honest and even humble man in everyday life.

I just finished Chris Jericho’s book A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex and it was good but the book ends with Y2J’s debut in the WWE witch seems like a real cock tease. Half of the reason anyone wants to read the book is to get all of the backstage dirt from working for Vince. I’m sure all that stuff will end up in another book he’ll wright in a few years, way to make us buy it twice Chris.

Cyber Sunday Main Events Already Anounced, And More Save_Us.222 Crazyness

The WWE has already released info on Cyber Sunday’s main events and stipulations. The RAW main event will be Randy Orton(c) vs. Triple H no surprise here. We will be able to vote whether the match will be Hell in the Cell, a No DQ match, or a Falls Count Anywhere, I think we all know what’s gonna win out in this one. The SmackDown main event will be a Four Way match featuring Batista(c) vs. Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio vs. The Great Khali we will be able to vote on WWE.com on who will be the guest referee. The choices are JBL, Mick Foley, or Steve Austin once again we all know Austin gonna win but personally I wanna see JBL.

Also as Colin Classic pointed out in the “No Mercy” discussion if you go to WWE.com all the way at the bottom of the page underneath the corporate info link the is a link named “Save_us.222 | Savior_self” witch links to a Y2J video. I was unable to confirm this for sure because the browser I’m currently using doesn’t support embedded Windows Media but I’ll take his word for it.

Time for a Math Equation @@@ = 222 = Y2J

This 222 thing is officially getting out of control some poor soul who has nothing better to do discovered that if you go to Chris Jericho’s official web site and highlight the entire page you will see @@@ witch is hidden because it’s typed with black letters on a black background. Of course if you take a quick look at your keyboard you’ll see the @ symbol is on the same key as they number 2 so @@@=222. What does all this mean? Well a couple of things first, ether the WWE or Chris Jericho really like to fuck with the smarks. And second there is some wrestling fan out there who’s going around highlighting wrestlers web pages for some disturbing reason. I don’t witch is more pathetic the fact that someone actually found this or that I actually when to Y2J’s web site and captured a screen shot so I could post it on The New PWB.

Here it is, click the pic to see an enlarge version:

Gone Til’ November

*UPDATE* This poster maybe a fake. *UPDATE*

November is shaping up to be a good month for wrestling fan. First off the newly released Survivor Series poster teases the return of the Rated “R” Superstar. I wonder if Edge got to serve his suspension during his recovery time, or if he even had to serve a suspension at all.

Second it starting to look pretty surton that Y2J has signed a deal to return to the WWE. Take a close look at his book signing schedule.

  • Thursday, November 15-Winnipeg, Manitoba – TB

Notice Jericho has signings scheduled every day of the week except Monday and from what I hear the WWE tapes some kind of live show on Monday nights but I can’t really recall the name of it right now.

And last but not least remember this guy……………….

Bobby Lashley went down on July 30 with a shoulder injury he was expected to be out for 4 months witch would most likely put his return sometime in the late November to early December time frame. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lashley put back onto the Smackdown roster because with his lack of mic skills he’s in danger of be overshadowed by HHH, Mr. Kennedy, Y2J, and John Cena four guys who have larger than life personalities.

P.O.G solves the 222 puzzle and brags

I think I just figured out what .222 is and yes it is Jericho, here’s why.

‘Save us ___’ is a sign in which the blank has been filled by only two names and those are Edge and Jericho as you guys know.

This is quite simple but explaining it might complicate it (clearly I am a jobless moron wasting my time trying to ‘decipher’ 222!)

The key to this is in converting the 222 into Y2J.

1.] The middle 2 remains the same, so let’s leave that alone.

2.] Look at the last/third 2 and invert it laterally as though you’re holding a mirror and you’ll see that the 2 turns into a J.Look at the figure below:

After this 222 becomes 22J

3.] Now it’s about turning the first 2 into a Y.

So now you’ve got the 2 looking like a Y,not exactly but if you reshape the 2 and make it pointier it looks like Y.

Final Result:

I’ve used simple fonts but trust the wwe technicians to use fancy fonts and graphics and you’ve got 222 turning into Y2J when he does return. This is only a conspiracy theory but I thought I’d post this since I have nothing else to do for the rest of the evening.

Countdown To Y2J Again!?!?!?!?!

Well it looks like Lex’s prediction of a Y2J return by October is right on. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that none other than Y2J Chris Jericho is currently in contract negotiations with both the WWE and TNA. But they are also saying that the reports Jericho is after a seven figure deal are exaggerated. The part about him maybe not wanting seven figures I don’t believe, it was reported a few weeks ago that Jeff Hardy makes about 1.2 million a year so I don’t see way a legend who I can only assume is still in his prime can’t be worth at least that much. My guess is Y2J will toy with the idea of TNA but we all know WWE is where the big checks get cut and even if TNA does offer him the big bucks the one thing they can’t offer is the chance to wrestle in front of about 100,000 fans at the Citrus Bowl at WM24. On November 3 Jericho will be signing his new book “A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex” at a Borders Books store about 5 minutes away from my house so I’ll be sure to ask him how soon it will be before we see him on Raw feuding with Kennedy if it hasn’t already happened by then.
